Audrey Park
Praised for her “rich sound [and] excellent rhythmic drive” (violinist.com), young violin virtuoso Audrey Park currently studies at the Juilliard School under Mr. Hyo Kang, with additional instruction from Linda Rose, Almita Vamos, and Cho-Liang Lin.
Most recently, her solo appearance at the “First Fridays” recital presented by Classical Crossroads garnered a glowing review hailing that “Park’s formidable talent will flower in years to come” (laopus.com).
Audrey has appeared as a soloist with the Santa Clarita Philharmonic, San Fernando Symphony Orchestra, Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra, Peninsula Symphony, Culver City Symphony Orchestra, and Curtis Y.A.S.P. Orchestra.
Receiving accolades at numerous competitions, Audrey was the First Prize winner of the Great Composers International Music and James Ramos International Video Competitions. In addition, she won the W.G. Still Art Center’s Young Artists and G.C.C. Music Competitions, leading to a scholarship. She was also a top prize winner at the Classics Alive Young Artists Auditions, BIMA International Competition, VOCE State Finals, and was recognized as a 2019 and 2020 National Young Arts Winner.
Radio broadcasts include participation in NPR's nationally syndicated program From the Top, recorded at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, and featured on KHTS AM 1220 Radio News.
An avid chamber musician, Audrey was a winner of the ENKOR International Music Competition with the Zenith Quartet from the Junior Chamber Music program. Furthermore, she won the Silver Medal at the PCM National Chamber Music Competition, placed in the semi-finals at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition with the Piacere Trio from the Pasadena Conservatory of Music and was selected to join the Junior Chamber Music’s Honors Tour of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest as a Debut Artist.
Having participated in various prestigious music festivals, Audrey was chosen to be one of ten student artists to be featured in the prestigious 2019 Starling-DeLay Symposium at the Juilliard School. She has also attended the Young Artist Summer Program at the Curtis Institute of Music, as well as the Montecito International and Bravo International Music Festivals under a scholarship, and was invited to participate in masterclasses by Ray Chen, Glenn Dicterow, Cho-Liang Lin and Jan Sloman. Other festival performance highlights include appearances at the La Jolla Music Society Summerfest with world-class soloists Hilary Hahn, Gil Shaham, Adele Anthony, Cho-Liang Lin, and Kyoko Takezawa.
When she is not performing, Audrey enjoys teaching violin, spending time with family and friends, horseback riding, skiing, and snowboarding.
