Kathryn Nevin

Kathryn Nevin earned her MM and DMA in Clarinet Performance from Univ. of Southern California, and her BM from Northern Illinois Univ. As a freelancer in Southern California, she has performed with many orchestras, and is a member of Redlands Symphony Orchestra, St. Matthew’s Chamber Orchestra, Desert Symphony, and Long Beach Municipal Band.

 

Dr. Nevin is a founding member of several award-winning ensembles, including Calico Winds, whose recordings and performances around the country have received critical acclaim. She has performed as part of the Montecito International Music Festival, as well as with faculty from the University of Redlands, Oberlin Conservatory, Boston University, La Sierra University, and with ensembles such as the Taylor String Quartet, the Shanghai Quartet, as well as with Los Angeles Philharmonic principal strings.


Kathryn Nevin is Artist Teacher of Clarinet at the University of Redlands, where she teaches clarinet, coaches woodwind chamber music, and is a classroom instructor for various courses.
